Senior Wealth Manager – No Sales

On-Site 4x a week – Salt Lake City, UT


A rapidly growing independent wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Wealth Manager to join its Private Wealth team. This role focuses post-sales relationships, delivering sophisticated wealth management solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family office clients, with particular emphasis on tax, estate, and trust planning.


The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial planning, investment oversight, estate strategies, and multi-generational wealth planning, along with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. This person thrives in servicing clients, but without the pressure of sales.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary advisor for high-net-worth and family office clients, delivering personalized wealth management strategies aligned with evolving financial goals.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and high-touch service.
  • Partner closely with internal specialists across tax, estate, trust, and investment functions to provide integrated planning solutions.

 

Comprehensive Financial Planning

  • Develop and implement advanced financial plans focused on tax efficiency, estate planning, risk management, philanthropy, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Advise clients on complex trust and estate matters, including strategies designed to preserve wealth across generations.
  • Translate sophisticated financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.

 

Wealth Management & Portfolio Oversight

  • Ensure investment strategies align with client objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term planning needs.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and coordinate portfolio reviews and rebalancing activities.
  • Utilize financial planning technology platforms to deliver customized planning solutions for clients with significant net worth.

 

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work collaboratively with internal advisory teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Contribute to a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and exceptional client service.

 

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, private wealth, or family office advisory.
  • Experience advising high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients preferred.
  • CFP®, LLM, and/or CPA designation preferred.

 

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, estate planning, tax strategies, risk management, and philanthropic planning.
  • Deep understanding of trust and estate structures and related tax considerations.
  • Demonstrated success managing sophisticated client relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex planning concepts.
  • Experience with financial planning software platforms such as eMoney or similar tools preferred.
