Job Description Lead MRI Technologist Opportunity – Armonk, New York
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Day Shift

A healthcare organization in Armonk, New York is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist for a permanent, full-time leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to oversee MRI department operations, support staff development, manage workflows, and perform advanced MRI imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is included.

Position Overview
• Permanent, full-time role
• Day shift
• Leadership position within the MRI department
• Responsible for daily MRI operations and workflow management
• Oversight of staff scheduling, training, and departmental performance
• Performs MRI procedures and quality assurance activities

Shift Details
• Monday – Friday
• 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• 75 hours per pay period

Compensation & Incentives
• Hourly range: $57.11 – $85.67 (based on experience)
• $10,000 sign-on bonus

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily MRI department operations and supply inventory
• Coordinate staff schedules, workflows, and departmental activities
• Provide training, onboarding, and education for MRI staff
• Serve as the department’s MRI subject matter expert
• Support implementation of operational improvements and best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and other departments to optimize patient care
• Monitor PACS and Epic worklists to ensure timely and accurate imaging workflows
• Perform and document MRI equipment QA/QC in accordance with ACR, DOH, and Joint Commission standards
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and service requests
• Participate in regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation activities
• Perform MRI procedures, patient positioning, and image acquisition as needed
• Support customer service initiatives and address patient concerns promptly
• Manage employee timekeeping and PTO requests

Requirements
• High School Diploma (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or hospital-based program (Required)
• Minimum 5 years of MRI Technologist or Lead MRI Technologist experience (Required)
• ARRT Certification (Required)
• ARRT-MR Certification (Required)
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
• Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
• Experience troubleshooting imaging equipment and complex MRI procedures
• Experience training and mentoring MRI technologists
• Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) Certification preferred
