Job Summary:
Verition Fund Management LLC is a multi-strategy hedge fund seeking a Quantitative Developer to join their Quant Strategies Group. The role involves designing and developing tools in Python for analysis, trading, and risk management, while ensuring data integrity and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and develop various tools in Python that will be crucial for analysis, research, trading, and risk management purposes
โ€ข Ensure integrity of data management pipeline and the underlying data itself, and actively identify, diagnose, and remedy data issues
โ€ข Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms
โ€ข Communicate regularly with team managers
โ€ข Collaborate cross-functionally with internal tech and data teams, researchers, traders, and outside vendors
โ€ข Commitment to safeguarding team information and adhering to business sensitivity
โ€ข Stay abreast of market trends and academic research to continually adapt and refine trading strategies
โ€ข Implement machine learning and other advanced techniques to enhance predictive accuracy
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข At least 1-3 years experience in Python programming, ideally including libraries relevant to data analysis and machine learning
โ€ข A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
โ€ข Ideally a degree in Computer Science or some other STEM program
