Job description

Quality Systems Engineer – Northern Cincinnati Area (Onsite)

Are you a detail-oriented quality professional who thrives on driving root cause analysis, leading corrective actions, and strengthening quality systems in a high-precision manufacturing environment? Join a forward-thinking global leader in capital equipment.

For over 150 years, our organization has been at the forefront of innovation in the capital equipment sector. We design and manufacture advanced systems and machinery that help customers worldwide reduce costs, boost efficiency, and advance sustainability goals—recognized nationally for our environmental stewardship and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Our state-of-the-art facility in the Northern Cincinnati area is where we turn cutting-edge ideas into reliable, high-performance capital equipment solutions for global markets.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to play a key role in elevating our quality management systems, resolving customer and warranty issues through robust corrective actions, and ensuring supplier excellence. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and making a tangible impact on product reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Customer Corrective Action Requests (CCARs) end-to-end, including root cause analysis, failure investigations, and implementing preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address nonconformances and warranty situations while updating ERP systems and communicating progress effectively.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend process improvements for both internal operations and suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier site inspections, audits, and evaluations; support remote quality inspections.
  • Train and mentor others on root cause analysis and quality tools.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet and exceed industry standards.

What You Bring

  • Technical foundation: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) with solid knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.
  • Quality expertise: Hands-on experience working within a QMS, preferably ISO 9001. Strong GD&T knowledge is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and customer service abilities (including handling challenging supplier conversations), analytical/problem-solving prowess, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. ERP experience is a plus.
  • Certifications: ASQ and/or ISO 9001 certification preferred.
  • Personal attributes: Self-motivated, accountable, proactive, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You embody values of trust, discipline, and ethical conduct.
  • Travel: Willingness for occasional travel (20-30%) to support suppliers, customers, and business needs.

This is a full-time, onsite role in the Northern Cincinnati area (M-F, standard business hours), offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k) effective from day one, and the chance to contribute to meaningful sustainability efforts in capital equipment manufacturing.

If you're a quality-driven engineer who wants to work with innovative technologies that support resource efficiency and sustainable manufacturing on a global scale, we'd love to connect—even if you're not actively looking. This could be the next step in your career where your expertise directly influences product excellence and customer success.
