We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Systems Engineer to join our Lyten Quality team. The Quality Systems Engineers will be a key member of the Quality organization responsible for designing, implementing, standardizing, and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS)

This is a hands-on role. The successful candidate will help build the QMS infrastructure required to support rapid growth while ensuring that processes remain practical, scalable, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements. This role requires a candidate who is a thinker AND a doer - someone who can prioritize among competing opportunities, collaboratively develop a first revision solution, ensure effective adoption, and successfully drive continuous improvement at an appropriate pace.
Responsibilities:

QMS Development

  • Maintain accurate assessment of current state of QMS across all locations and businesses
  • Regularly perform risk-based gap assessment of QMS relative to regulatory requirements, customer expectations, quality standards, and business needs.
  • Prioritize gap closure and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Architect and build/improve QMS to appropriately close gaps

QMS Implementation

  • Ensure effective and efficient roll-out of quality management system changes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of QMS
  • Lead effective ongoing QMS training
  • For some QMS elements, provide direct administrative control and execution

QMS Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and respond to feedback from businesses on effectiveness and efficiency of QMS.
  • Address findings from audits - both internal and external.
  • Provide regular updates to business leaders on status and plans for QMS

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in quality and process engineering
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Systems
  • Experience with a variety of QMS software solutions and approaches
  • Direct operational experience with Internal Auditing, Document Management, Change Management, and Problem Solving
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including reporting up to executive level.

Preferred:

  • Experience with IATF16949 and VDA6.X
  • Experience with APQP tools
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 30 lbs.
  • No physical limitations to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
  • Must collaborate and work well with other team members.
  • Must be able to occasionally work in a dry room setting.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$128,200.00 - $192,400.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
