Job description

Loan Operations Quality Control Analyst

Job Overview: Do you have that attention to detail?  Are you the one who could find a needle in a haystack?  If you said yes, then you might be interested in our position as Commercial Loan Operations Quality Control Analyst.  This role plays a vital part in our commercial loan onboarding process.  Being able to comprehend legal documents is a must.  

The candidate for this position will be responsible for:

  • Perform loan reviews in order to ensure elements for secure lending are in place. Tasks include, but not limited to reviewing all loan documentation for accuracy and verifying the core system is set up correctly
  • Perfecting collateral when necessary
  • Assists with compliance audits throughout the year for Loan Operations in order to ensure that regulatory compliance is in place. Tasks include, but not limited to sampling closed loan using a checklist and testing each criteria
  • Review reports as assigned for Loan Operations in order to ensure that regulatory, safety and soundness guidelines are followed
  • Cultivates internal customer satisfaction within the Loan Operations department by preventing future loan file exceptions. Tasks include, but not limited to tracking loan file errors in system and advising loan officers and processors how to avoid the same errors in the future
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor will be performed in order to address unexpected situations or needs that may arise

Requirements for the position include:

  • Great attention to detail required
  • Ability to read and comprehend legal documents required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit, and relevant regulations required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong adaptability, collaboration, and decision-making skills required
  • Engages in the development and continual evolution of process and procedure updates to ensure knowledge is shared amongst the team
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, FIS Horizon XE preferred

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One year’s experience in a financial institution loan operations area
  • FIS Horizon core system experience is preferred
