The BMC2 Capabilities engineering organization is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our software development team located onsite in St. Petersburg, FL.
Our teams develop software in a variety of languages, primarily C++ and python. Candidates can expect to work on many-if not all-of the phases of the software development life cycle. In this position, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to difficult technical software problems. Teams are organized using Agile scrum methodology
What You Will Do:
  • Manage complex DevSecOps pipelines for embedded systems applications and declarative pipelines (Gitlab or Github Actions)
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions
  • Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems
  • Coach, review and delegate work to lower-level professionals
  • Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products
  • Operate in a collaborative, SAFe agile environment

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Proficiency in Python development, including object-oriented programming, class-based design, and integrating tools and workflows using RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with declarative pipelines such as GitLab or GitHub Actions, and artifact repositories like JFrog Artifactory.
  • Experience building Grafana dashboards and building basic Kubernetes deployments in YAML
  • Experience with Linux systems and networking fundamentals
  • Active and transferable Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is preferred.
  • Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevSecOps and test automation.
  • Experience in prior leadership roles such as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or equivalent.
  • Experience migrating scripted Jenkins pipelines to declarative Gitlab pipelines., test reporting frameworks like Robot Framework, advanced build frameworks like Bazel, Conan package manager for C++, and Makefiles and CMake.
  • Experience configuring and managing Coverity static code analysis, container security reporting tools like snyk, trivy and grype, code signing tools like sigstore and cosign, Yocto build system for Embedded Linux, and building complex Kubernetes deployments in YAML.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
