JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Senior Data Analyst supports program evaluation, ongoing accreditation compliance (LCME and ARC-PA), and strategic planning initiatives for the College of Medicine. This position provides administration support of all activities relating to (1) collection of outcome data from multiple internal and external sources, (2) organization and maintenance of databases, (3) analysis of complex data to monitor program performance and trends, (4) generation and distribution of intuitive reports and dashboards to communicate findings to administration, faculty, and other stakeholders, and (5) documentation and tracking the flow of data and actions taken to support continuous quality improvement for the Doctor of Medicine and Physician Assistant programs in the College of Medicine. This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of relevant experience, including direct experience working with datasets and generating reports; OR Master's Degree, two (2) years of relevant experience, including direct experience working with datasets and generating reports. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking skills, and sound judgment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Computer proficient; proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to create and deliver training around data education and insight.
  1. Reviews program variables and outcome measures for ongoing program evaluation and maintenance of ARC-PA accreditation.
  2. Documents and tracks the flow of data and reviews reports related to decisions and actions taken to support continuous quality improvement.
  3. Communicates key information to relevant stakeholders and continuously evaluates processes to ensure they meet accreditation requirements and support departmental goals.
  4. Directs and oversees the collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of evaluation data-particularly quantitative data-within the Office of Medical Education to support program assessment, continuous improvement, and informed decision-making.
  5. Designs and implements processes that ensure the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of data collection, management, and analysis.
  6. Trains staff as needed in the proper input, collection, and organization of data in conjunction with the Director of Accreditation.
  7. Designs evaluation methodologies in response to established program objectives.
  8. Interprets and reports data to committees for evaluation of compliance. Creates and updates dashboards for administrators and committees to review the status of analyzed data in relation to objectives and standards.
  9. Applies statistical methods to analyze datasets, identify trends, and determine correlations across multiple data sources.
  10. Develops predictive models based on identified correlations to support forecasting and data-informed decision-making.
  11. Reports data analyses and findings to administrators and curriculum committees to inform program evaluation and support continuous program enhancement.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
