Job Summary
PureForge Brakes seeks an experienced and results-oriented Director of Production, Quality, and Procurement to lead and scale our manufacturing operations. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing production, quality assurance, procurement, inventory planning, and supply chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality product delivery.
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a hands-on approach, capable of driving operational excellence, fostering continuous improvement, and supporting the company’s rapid growth. This individual will play a critical role in expanding manufacturing capabilities and delivering innovative braking solutions to customers around the globe.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all production, quality, procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics operations. 
  • Develop and implement strategic production and supply chain plans aligned with corporate growth objectives. 
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of managers, engineers, technicians, and production personnel. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to align production capabilities with market demand and business objectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee supplier relationships, procurement activities, contract negotiations, and vendor performance. 
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation, and process improvements to optimize efficiency, scalability, and product quality. 
  • Manage departmental budgets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and capital expenditures. 
  • Support operational scaling, capacity planning, and new product introduction initiatives.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) manufacturing experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, production, operations, quality, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive, industrial, or high-performance components industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading manufacturing operations and improving productivity, quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, inventory management, and procurement practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and key operational performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience scaling manufacturing operations from low-volume production to commercial-scale production.
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar manufacturing frameworks.
  • Experience in developing supplier relationships, managing vendor performance, and leading procurement initiatives.
