Job description

The Public Health Analyst provides programmatic, analytical, and operational support for public health preparedness and emergency response initiatives. This role coordinates public health communications, workforce training, stakeholder engagement, and program implementation while supporting strategic planning, monitoring program performance, and improving operational effectiveness. The analyst collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely execution of public health initiatives and delivery of high-quality educational and communication products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health preparedness programs, communication campaigns, and workforce training initiatives.
  • Develop, review, and disseminate communication products, including newsletters, presentations, email campaigns, flyers, briefing materials, and educational resources.
  • Coordinate project timelines, campaign deliverables, and promotional schedules to ensure successful execution of program activities.
  • Collaborate with program leadership, communications specialists, and subject matter experts to develop messaging, educational content, and outreach strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate training logistics, including registration, learning management system administration, instructor access, and participant communications.
  • Facilitate meetings, planning sessions, and post-training evaluations to support continuous program improvement.
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites, program documentation, educational materials, and digital resources.
  • Monitor program activities, prepare reports and briefing materials, analyze program performance, and recommend process improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison among internal and external stakeholders to support coordination, information sharing, and successful program implementation.
  • Ensure program deliverables are completed in accordance with organizational priorities, timelines, and quality standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Communications, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience supporting public health, emergency preparedness, healthcare, or government programs.
  • Experience planning and coordinating public health programs, communication campaigns, training initiatives, or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing reports, presentations, educational materials, and communication products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and learning management systems.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration, Public Policy, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or other federal public health programs.
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness, health promotion, workforce development, or risk communication principles.
  • Experience with program evaluation, performance measurement, quality improvement, or strategic communications.
  • Familiarity with federal program management, public health training, and communication practices.
