Job description

Opiniion is a resident experience tool that partners with property management to create better living experiences for their residents. Our platform has helped thousands of property managers collect and act on real-time feedback, improve resident experiences, and enhance their online reputation. Opiniion is committed to exceptional service and innovation, earning recognition as one of Americaโ€™s fastest-growing private companies. Driven by a forward-thinking team, weโ€™re shaping the future of resident engagement. Our continued growth and commitment to innovation make this an exciting time to be part of our team!

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Product Manager reporting directly to the SVP of Product & AI, you will own a product area end to end, including the business case behind it, not just the backlog. You will decide what gets built and what does not, run several workstreams at once, and prototype your own ideas rather than describing them in a document.

The hardest part of this job is deciding what is worth building. Customers will tell you what they want. Your job is to find the problem underneath the request, confirm it is real and worth solving, and solve that instead.

AI WORKFLOWS & CULTURE:

We build in the open and we settle questions with working software. You should already use tools like Claude, Cursor, and Figma daily to research, spec, and prototype, and you should be comfortable working directly in the codebase with engineers, not just handing them requirements. Bring a bias toward putting something real in front of a customer this week. Help us build a culture of "show me, don't tell me."

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • AI Platform: Define and build our new AI platform on top of our resident data, from the first working prototype through the version customers depend on.
  • Quality of the Intelligence: Decide what correct means for every model-backed feature, build the evaluations that prove it, and design what the customer sees when the answer is wrong.
  • Prioritization: Decide what gets built against finite engineering capacity and say plainly what does not. Take the flood of feature requests, support tickets, sales ask, and internal opinions and find the small number of real problems underneath them.
  • Prototyping: Build working prototypes yourself, put them in front of customers, and hand engineering something they can react to.
  • Problem Discovery: Our customer base is small enough that you can actually know it. Get in front of property managers, regional leaders, and on-site teams, including at their properties when the opportunity is there. Watch how the work gets done, not how the software assumes it gets done. The gap between those two is where our next product lives.
  • Outcomes: Define what success looks like before the work starts, then measure it and report on it honestly. We care about what moved, not what shipped.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in product management, including 3 or more years shipping B2B SaaS. We weight what you have shipped more heavily than how long you have been shipping it. You find the real problem. Given a pile of customer requests and competing internal opinions, you can identify the one worth solving and explain why the obvious ask was not it.
  • You are credible with customers. You can run a discovery conversation with an operator, ask the question behind the question, and leave knowing something the request form would never have told you.
  • Product taste. You have opinions about what good looks like, you can explain why, and you know which details are load-bearing and which are polish.
  • Enough technical depth to challenge an engineer rather than defer to one. You can read a pull request, follow the architecture, work in git, answer your own questions in SQL, and go from a raw data set to a product decision without a translator.
  • You build working prototypes with AI tooling and put them in front of real users, and you have judgment about what AI models can and cannot do reliably, and what should happen when they are wrong.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in multifamily, proptech, or property management software. You will ramp faster and earn credibility with our customers sooner.
  • A zero to one product or platform taken from concept through its first real customers.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, product analytics, or user research methods.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS:

  • First 30: You understand the problems we are solving better than anyone outside of engineering. You have immersed yourself in the signal we already collect, including survey responses, reviews, support tickets, and recorded customer calls, joined the customer conversations already happening, and formed your own view of where we fall short today.
  • First 60: You have shipped a prototype that changed someone's mind about what we should build.
  • First 90: You own a roadmap area with a measurable goal the company has agreed to, and a plan to hit it.

If you are an experienced product management professional with a passion for the tech industry, a proven ability to take initiative, and a drive to push the boundaries of AI in product management, weโ€™d love to hear from you!

OPINIIONโ€™S CULTURE:

At Opiniion, we take our work seriously, but we donโ€™t take ourselves too seriously! We work hard together, and we have a lot of fun doing it. We are a team that believes in real autonomy: you own your area, solve problems, and move fast enough to actually see the change you make. The people here are invested in each other just as much as theyโ€™re invested in the work, and that combination is what makes this place different. We believe in collaboration, innovation, and building a team that truly caresโ€”about our clients, their residents, and each other.

BENEFITS SNAPSHOT:
  • Comprehensive healthcare plans, encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with group life coverage. Opiniion covers 40-90% of the premium cost for employees and all dependents.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 100% corporate match on the first 1% and 50% match on the next 5%.
  • Pre-tax Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
  • Paid Parental Leave for all new parents (including adoption or foster care).
  • 10 Paid Holidays annually.
  • Monthly Wellness Reimbursement benefit.

*Note that the above benefits are available only to full-time employees of Opiniion*
