Job description

Sr. Project Leader - Consultant The Sr. Project Leader is responsible for leading and driving high impact, cross-functional projects through all phases of the project life cycle.

This individual will be responsible for all of the project planning and controlling activities such as scope, schedule, and budget management. In addition to being able to manage the project, this individual needs exceptional leadership skills in order to properly motivate the team and handle the people dynamics of the project. The Sr.

Project Leader needs experience in leading cross-functional teams across various organizations through requirements definition, functional specifications, detailed design, coding, testing, operations training, and implementation activities. This position is not suitable for administrative project managers. This individual must be hands-on and able to get into the details of the project while maintaining the broader business goals and objectives.

The Sr. Project Leader must be able to balance between understanding the holistic vision and driving change across an organization. The role of Sr.

Project Leader is a contract position, offers competitive compensation and may require weekly travel. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the company. Applicants based in Atlanta or the Southeast would be preferred.

Minimum Requirements: 7-10 years business project management experience Information Technology perspective - need to understand the full SDLC Business Operations perspective - need to understand the operational impacts of process improvements and system implementations Visio experience a must Responsibilities: Lead and motivate cross-functional team Build a team environment that encourages collaboration and communication Accountable for project scope, schedule, and budget Assist in the identification and assignment of project resources Accountable for resolution of project issues and risks across all business and technical areas Coordination of requirements management and analysis activities Coordination of the development activities Develop project plans and use project management skills appropriately to ensure timely delivery of client solutions Work with peers to coordinate inter-dependent activities Apply industry knowledge in solving business problems Facilitate team activities toward the achievement of the desired outcome while considering results, processes, and relationships Act as an authority on Project Management methodology and best practices Communicate the value of Project Management methodology
