Senior Commercial Project Manager

Kirkland, WA

Take your commercial construction expertise to a leading local General Contractor based on the Eastside, who manages a diverse range of commercial projects with budgets ranging from $5 million to $150 million. Their portfolio boasts extensive experience in industrial, healthcare, and commercial sectors, including office, retail, and mixed-use developments.

As the Sr. Project Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the success of commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in BIM or LEED AP. You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and should embody the qualities of a team player, self-starter, and someone motivated by achieving success.

Senior Project Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage and coordinate our company's personnel and resources for projects, from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Preconstruction Support: Collaborate on preconstruction efforts to ensure the project's success.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of project development, from its inception to completion.
  • Strategic Execution: Prepare and execute a comprehensive Project Executive Plan, including managing trade contracts, bid packages, and procurement processes.
  • Performance Oversight: Take charge of project performance, including project status, schedule, cost control, and change management systems.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and consultants.
  • Meeting Leadership: Lead project meetings, including progress updates, pre-construction meetings, and pre-award discussions.
  • Quality Assurance: Review inspection and test data to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Site Management: Develop and maintain site logistics plans with the Superintendent.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality inspections to uphold our high standards.

Senior Project Manager Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing commercial construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, estimating software, on-screen take-off tools, Bluebeam, and MS Project 2013. Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and foster client relationships, both new and existing.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
