Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage assigned clients and construction projects from preconstruction planning through closeout, ensuring alignment with defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Provide senior leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, mentorship, and a high-performance culture.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, cultivating strong, long-term relationships and ensuring consistent, transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Project Execution Plans, including scope definition, schedules, staffing strategies, procurement plans, risk assessments, and milestone tracking.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial reports, taking proactive measures to maintain financial targets and profitability.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks through early issue identification and corrective action planning.
  • Lead procurement strategies for large or complex projects, including subcontractor selection, phased buyout schedules, and material sourcing.
  • Chair project meetings and deliver clear, actionable progress updates to all stakeholders.
  • Champion and enforce jobsite safety programs, promoting a culture where safety is a core value and shared responsibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project performance, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing best practices across projects.
  • Mentor and develop project team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
  • Continuously foster strong relationships with clients, retain current repeat clients, and identify and nurture prospective clients.
  • Produce all elements of a project execution plan and implement.
  • Establish project staffing plan in coordination with the Project Executive to ensure appropriate resourcing.
  • Establish financial forecasting requirements with the owners and project stakeholders.
  • Implement purchasing elements affecting large projects such as: Project Labor Agreements (PLA), OCIP/CCIP Programs, and phased buyout schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow projections and reports.
  • Plan and execute interactive scheduling sessions with client, design team and internal team.
  • Assume overall direction for adherence accountability for jobsite quality and financial well-being.
Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Deep knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Advanced ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Strong command of jobsite safety practices and OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification required or attainable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning and leadership development.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., standing or sitting) for extended periods when reviewing plans or conducting meetings.
  • Ability to move about active construction sites, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or scaffolding, ascending/descending stairs, and navigating tight spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to read printed plans, drawings, and computer screens, and conduct conversations in person and via phone/radio in noisy environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to operate standard office and site inspection tools (e.g., laptop, tablet, measuring devices, etc.)
