The Project: Provides dedicated owner-side oversight of all automation, control systems, and digital integration scope encompassing DCS/PLC, BAS, SCADA, MES, LIMS, and Computer System Validation (CSV) under GAMP5 ensuring all systems are designed for validation and delivered inspection-ready.

You'll Be Responsible For : 

  • Contributes within the project team, and as part of the team, collaborating and coordinating with colleagues, actively providing guidance and mentoring to others.

  • Analyses, rectifies and manages the completion of the MEP design, using technical expertise and business's management processes.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with project Sub-contractors, Sub-Subcontractors and Suppliers. Accountable for programme, HSW, cost and quality deliverables of their package or system.

  • Establishes and manages the interfaces between packages.

  • Manages and establishes key relationships with key project stake holders such as the Client, Design and Construction teams.

  • Actively identifies risks and manages the production and implementation of mitigation plans.

  • Provides comprehensive technical expertise of modern methods of construction, developing and supporting learning about digital technologies and prefabrication.

  • Contributes towards the recommendation and implements Mace's standards & project strategies.  

  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with advanced knowledge of engineering specialism (e.g. mechanical), including installation techniques, engineering processes, prefabrication, and commissioning requirements.

  • Proficient knowledge of other engineering disciplines (e.g. electrical), ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and system integration.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and dependencies to support efficient delivery and coordination of build elements.

  • Proficient in commercial management, including procurement, change control, cost forecasting, and programme impact.

  • Solid knowledge of planning and scheduling processes, including critical path, construction sequencing, and commissioning from pre-construction to completion.

  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and quality assurance standards, including safe systems of work and system commissioning/integration (BMS, IST, Cause & Effect).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to solve problems, influence decisions, manage resources, and support team development.
