Overview


We are a commercial construction General Contractor specializing in interior renovations, remodels, and build-outs for high-end retail stores. Our projects require exceptional attention to detail, quality, scheduling, and coordination to meet the demanding standards of luxury and premium retail environments.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects from inception through successful completion. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of project planning, execution, coordination, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope, within budget, and according to the highest standards of safety, craftsmanship, and quality.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in commercial interiors, renovations, tenant improvements, retail build-outs, or high-end construction. This individual must be able to effectively coordinate clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders while managing the fast-paced schedules commonly associated with retail construction.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning, development, execution, and closeout of construction projects from preconstruction through final delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling software.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts and proactively implement corrective actions to prevent or minimize project delays.
  • Oversee construction estimating activities and review blueprints, specifications, schematics, contracts, and other project documents to accurately assess scope, costs, and project requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities to ensure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services are secured according to project schedules.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings, site meetings, coordination meetings, and client updates.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication among clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and company leadership.
  • Utilize construction management platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam to manage project information, documentation, drawings, and communication.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other technical professionals to interpret plans, specifications, and technical requirements and ensure accurate field execution.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, purchase orders, meeting minutes, schedules, and other critical project documentation.
  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor and vendor agreements as required.
  • Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support and coordinate Superintendents and field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure proper project closeout, including punch lists, documentation, turnover requirements, and final completion.


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Extensive experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably in a Senior Project Manager or comparable leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction operations, field coordination, site supervision, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, or comparable industry-standard platforms.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating techniques and cost-control principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract negotiation, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, and internal leadership.
  • Extensive construction site experience and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Location & Language Requirements

  • Must currently reside in Doral, Florida, or within a reasonable commuting distance of Doral.
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate professionally in both languages.
  • Must be available to work from the Doral office and visit construction sites as required.
  • Ability to travel to project locations as business needs require.
