Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing all project controls activities within the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Construction Management Department. Responsibilities include project accounting, cost management, financial forecasting, schedule analysis, risk identification and mitigation, progress measurement, and reporting for multiple commercial construction and capital improvement projects. The individual ensures projects adhere to established budgets, schedules, standards, and governance requirements. The individual coordinates financial and project controls activities with Design Managers, Construction Managers, Finance, Procurement, Legal, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure project financial information is accurate, timely, and communicated effectively. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or Accounting is required. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project controls within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale or complex projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential preferred. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must be able to travel to all Tribal Reservations and other locations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies if needed.
