Senior Project Accountants are ultimately responsible for the accurate monthly costing and accounting of project related financial data, as well as understanding all financial aspects of a project while working together with the project teams to ensure maximum profit with minimum risk. This includes, but is not limited to the monthly requisitioning process, cost reporting and analysis (ACR's), receivables management, disbursements management / policy, Sales and Use tax compliance, and project status report submission. This position supports the Project team and responsible Account Manager. This position reports to and receives direction from the Director of Project Accounting and where applicable a Senior Project Accountant may supervise a Project Accountant.

Senior Project Accountant Required Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of accounting experience
      • 2+ years of experience with job costing methodologies and software to accurately track and allocate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
      • 2+ years experience reviewing project contracts, identifying key financial terms and obligations, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle
      • 2+ years experience reviewing data on the Subcontractors Estimate For Payment (EFP) against the Subcontract Status Report, Subcontractors AIA and ACR.
      • Thorough understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting
      • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products and JD Edwards,
      • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
