Job description

OverviewThe Program Manager is responsible for leading teams across their respective aircraft platform to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units (Innovation & Operations and Customer Experience Teams). This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The Program Manager has the authority to run the program platform on a day-to-day basis. Verifies that the program and related projects are producing the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost, and achieves the potential benefits defined in the business case and aligns to the organization's business goals.Responsibilities
  • Manage the Aftermarket Aircraft Platform for the Upgrades & Accessories (U&A) team in its entirety (From New Product launch to Sustaining Engineering Service Bulletins)
    • Participate in and manage new product generation/model year/feature cut-in project with the Innovation & Operations team
    • Maintain and provide alignment direction for new U&A products and services with the Aftermarket Engineering team
    • Maintain and track sustaining engineering service bulletin development and be that bridge for the Aftermarket Customer Support team
  • Coordinate upgrades and accessories being sold and installed through the Cirrus Pre-Owned Aircraft Program with ASC Network and Sales teams
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of the business
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
    • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
    • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources, provide status reporting regarding program milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, and communicates across leadership
    • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
    • Manage project scope and scope changes
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
    • Monitor and track issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
    • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline program/project schedules
  • Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet program goals, adhering to their responsibilities and program milestones
  • Report on program success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Look for cross-functional opportunities for continual updating of Cirrus Aircraft policies and procedures and appropriate ways to communicate with team and partners
  • Bring forward ideas from self or group on next steps for continued progress for better business systems that promote enhanced customer (ASC or owner) satisfaction
  • Participate in service analysis needs and data reporting as required for continued progress on service offerings
  • Assist in yearly U&A initiative planning and budget planning
  • Plans and supports digital/in-person Cirrus Events as scheduled
  • Consistently exhibit exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, while demonstrating Cirrus Aircraft's mission, vision, values, and the Steps of Service
  • Other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field required.
  • 4-7 years' experience in project/program management or related supervisory/management experience required
  • Preferred PMP certification or formal education in Project or Program Management.
