What You Will Do:
The Senior Supervisor, Disk Machining supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. The Senior Supervisor, Disk Machining will manage cell productivity and guide scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.
  • Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environmental Health and Safety, CORE [Customer Oriented Results and Excellence], Employee Fulfillment)
  • Ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards
  • Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement CORE and Lean Strategies to improve Quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
  • Supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations
  • Manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity; identify and resolve process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs
  • Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service
  • Coach employees in team development and motivational strategies
  • Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities
  • Define and Implement plans to support the objectives of the business including Quality, CORE, Employee Fulfillment, and Financial Metrics

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related field OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related field
  • In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, machining, quality or closely related field
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • Machining experience

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
