Collins Aerospace is looking for an Industrial Engineer with knowledge of cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems as part of an integrated product team supporting process improvements for new and existing vision systems and sensors supporting both commercial and military applications.

What You Will Do:

  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).
  • Under guidance from senior engineers assists in:
  • Establishing the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
  • Planning the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
  • Planning the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience/expertise in applications such as, VBA for Excel, Minitab data analysis tools, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and 3D print environments.
  • Prior experience in the aerospace industry, including exposure to optical display systems and their applications.
  • Proficient in gage studies, Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
