Job description

ABGi USA is hiring on behalf of one of our engineering and industrial clients for an experienced Senior Process Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team supporting a variety of process engineering projects across the chemical, petrochemical, refining, and industrial sectors.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and partnering directly with clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering efforts from concept through detailed design.

  • Develop heat and material balances, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

  • Perform process simulations, hydraulic calculations, and process equipment evaluations.

  • Design and validate relief systems and support process safety initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot existing process systems and develop practical engineering solutions.

  • Prepare technical reports, process narratives, and engineering documentation.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical.

  • Interface directly with clients throughout project execution.

  • Support project planning, estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation while maintaining project budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • 8+ years of process engineering experience within an EPC, consulting, or industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Strong experience with process simulation software such as HYSYS, Aspen HYSYS, or PROII.

  • Experience developing process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and process design packages.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
