Job description

Location: US-CT-EAST HARTFORD-RTRC H ~ 411 Silver Ln RTRC H
Type: Onsite. U.S. Citizen or eligible for U.S. government security clearance required. DoD Clearance: Secret.

What You Will Do
  • Develop advanced process parameters to enable complex geometries with enhanced material properties.
  • Investigate sources of machine variability and develop methods to eliminate observed variability.
  • Execute and oversee development builds on various Additive Manufacturing machines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals.
  • Explore the capabilities of advanced tools and equipment to characterize machines and process space.
  • Develop machine installation, machine operation, and part qualification processes and standards.
  • Work with RTX Business Units to understand and address their needs.
  • Lead projects to advance the industrialization of AM at RTX.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Engineering Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing tools and processes.
  • Scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with metal laser powderโ€‘bedโ€‘fusion AM equipment.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage sensors and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and handsโ€‘on experience working with laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment focused on innovation.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA desirable.
Salary Range

86,800 USD โ€“ 165,200 USD.
