Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer I who enjoys working within a team environment. In this role, you will support the wafer fab tools and processes in one or more functional areas (Photo, Etch, Deposition, Diffusion, etc.) in a fab that makes PIN, Zener and Schottky Diodes on Silicon and Gallium Arsenide wafers with emphasis on Commercial & Military Communication/RADAR & Instrumentation market. This is a great opportunity for engineers looking for a hands-on job in a small manufacturing facility.
The Senior Process Engineer I is responsible for developing, monitoring, and testing wafer fab semiconductor products. Specific responsibilities can include:
  • Creating and updating process specifications
  • Monitoring tool and process results including SPC
  • Designing, running, and documenting results of experiments
  • Leading Teams to improve yields, reduce cycle time or reduce cost
  • Process qualification of new equipment
  • Communicating and consulting with team members and other staff, as necessary, to successfully complete tasks
  • Must keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes
  • Other design, development, and support tasks as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems
  • Experience with Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel
  • Must be well organized with the ability to present information for suggested process improvements to the Wafer Fabrication engineering team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (English)

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Legacy wafer fab working with technologies on 3" to 6" wafers is a plus
  • Experience in photo or etch is a plus
  • Skills in using AI improve to do research, analyze data and present data is a plus
