Job Summary
Build and advance cutting-edge focal plane array products from concept through production. Use data to uncover insights, improve yields, and solve complex semiconductor challenges. Lead impactful projects, drive root cause and cost reduction efforts, and partner across teams to elevate performance and manufacturability.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, fabricate, analyze and modify Focal Plane Array products/devices
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing products and make modifications and improvements as needed to improve product yields
  • Compile and evaluate inline product, process and test data
  • Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and Cost Reduction projects in line with vision and goals of the team
  • Complete project actions, document results and write reports
  • Implement and monitor key performance metrics to detect and solve problems and minimize the impact to product
  • Provide the vision for the future of product technology necessary to lead in capability and manufacturabiliy
  • Lead and comple projects on schedule and budget
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Responsibilities Part II
  • Self motivated and focused on developing and successfully implementing the team's vision and goals
  • Understanding of device physics and working knowledge of semiconductor processing, circuit designing, and testing
  • Experience with failure analysis tools and techniques
  • Data extraction and analysis skills using software packages to investigate trends and observations, then summarize findings (ex. Cornerstone, JMP, Spotfire, Minitab, etc.)
  • Experience with problem solving processes (e.g. Kepner-Tregoe, 8D, etc.)
  • Experience using Matlab
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders and prepare project plans, reports and documentation
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams to improve yields, solve problems and implement corrective actions
  • Knowledge of infrared technology and materials
  • Desire to win and the ability to effectively integrate with the team

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with semiconductor processes development and integration, and associated applications

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
