Job description

On-Site Partnership Track Opportunity: Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology
Practice: Radiology Associates of Ocala (A Division of Radiology Imaging Associates)

Location: Ocala, North Central Florida (On-site)

Schedule: Shifts/Year 14+ Weeks of Vacation

Practice Overview
Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is the fastest-growing independent private practice in the country, with over 100 radiologists joining in the past year alone, bringing our total to over 230. RIA is a fiercely independent, exclusively physician-owned practice built for resilience through diverse business ventures and advanced technology. In addition to being a top-tier clinical practice, RIA operates as a tech startup with its own software development arm, creating custom computer-vision AI applications and commercializing clinical communication services, remote MRI scanning, and MSO products.

Our Ocala Division consists of 45+ radiologists. It stands out as one of RIA s most lucrative divisions while simultaneously offering the practice's lightest and most balanced schedules. As the sole large radiology group in Marion County, we hold exceptional leverage with insurance payors and maintain strong hospital partnerships that ensure long-term stability.

Positions & Compensation
We prefer candidates seeking a partnership track, but all hiring tracks remain open.

  • Partner Compensation: $800,000 to $1,000,000+
  • Associate/Pre-Partner Package: $480,000 to $580,000
  • The Partnership Track: A uniform 3-year track with a nominal buy-in and no partnership tiers. Partners draw income from local technical-fee billing, corporate management revenue, medical real estate, our 50+ radiologist teleradiology division, and equity stakes in our software and billing ventures.
  • Benefits & Retirement: Includes vested cash balance plans, 401k profit-sharing, a provided home diagnostic workstation, and comprehensive malpractice/health coverage.

Schedule, Workflow, & Culture
Absolute Equity: True to private practice ideals, partners and pre-partners are treated equally. We utilize a blinded lottery for vacation selection and mandate equal vacation time, equal call, and an equal distribution of tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences.

  • Light Schedule: Associates and partners average 185 shifts per year. This breaks down to close to just one weekday call shift and one weekend shift per month, leaving you with over 14 weeks of annual vacation.
  • Lucrative Moonlighting: Dedicated internal Nighthawk coverage handles overnight reads so you can rest. For those looking to maximize earnings, completely voluntary internal daytime, evening, or weekend moonlighting shifts are readily available:
    • Daytime / "Hop On" Shifts: $40/RVU
    • Evening Shifts: $42/RVU
    • Weekend / Overnight Shifts: $44/RVU
  • Workflow Support: Work efficiently with 24/7 in-house IT support and dedicated tele-assistants who manage your incoming calls and communicate critical results. A robust peer-review system and list management prevent "cherry-picking" and preserve workplace culture.
  • Clinical Expectations: General radiology skills are required. We offer an established mentorship framework with reasonable, progressive productivity expectations to ensure a smooth transition from residency or fellowship. Interventional Radiology (IR) positions feature a 50/50 split with a current Q12 call rotation. Senior IR rads are available to assist with just moments notice.
Premium Perks
  • Work-from-Vacation Homes: physicians can work from complimentary luxury corporate properties in Lake Tahoe (Nevada), Utah, Hawaii, and Georgia. Each home is fully equipped with an identical diagnostic workstation, allowing you to easily read shifts while traveling with family.
  • The Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas: The practice maintains exclusive timeshare access at The Ritz-Carlton in the U.S. Virgin Islands (where we also run an on-site division) for further flexibility and leisure.

Location: Ocala, Florida
Ocala is an affordable, rapidly growing, family-friendly metro area of over 425,000 residents. Known as the Horse Capital of the World, it offers incredible natural freshwater springs, crystal-clear rivers, and premier golf courses.

  • Proximity: Conveniently located just over an hour from Orlando (and its major international airport) and under an hour from both the Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches.
  • Real Estate: High-end luxury homes in premier gated communities are highly affordable and can realistically be purchased with a single year of partner salary.
  • Education: Home to some of Florida's top-ranked elementary schools, with the nationally top-tier University of Florida just a short drive away in neighboring Gainesville.

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. with residency training in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
  • Completion of a one-year post-residency fellowship (preferred)
  • Must reside and read from within the United States (international reads not permitted)
    MQSA certification (preferred)
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one
