The Opportunity -

We are currently seeking a Senior Director to join our Institutional Valuation Practice.

The Institutional Valuation Practice (IVP) is a specialty practice group within JLL Value and Risk Advisory to service institutional investors and their fair value reporting requirements. The team operates on a national basis serving major institutional clients such as Life Insurance Companies, Open-End Diversified Core Equity Funds, REITS, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and other large-scale investor groups. Consistent with investor needs for quarterly and/or annual financial reporting, the team prepares valuation reports for each of the core investment sectors. The IVP partners with sector and geographic specialists to ensure platform consistency and shared resources and is committed to a level of analysis and quality befitting the institutional clientele it serves.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Focus on management of team members, workflow and delivering superior client outcomes with less time spent on personally completing assignments
  • Originate select work, partnering with leadership to identify targets
  • Only inspect properties for tier 1 clients, where client interaction can be a benefit to growing the business, and/or if coaching a junior team member
  • Attend at least two local commercial real estate events per year and volunteer for one board/leadership/committee position within AI/IRWA/ULI/etc.
  • Represent the JLL brand: optimism, intelligence and collaboration
  • Provide solutions

Education Requirements:

  • Continue participation in JLLU to focus on career path alignment and building professional skillset, including people management and business development

Skillset Requirements:

  • Previous Argus Enterprise experience required
  • Previous institutional or client management experience preferred
  • Moderate travel for business development/property inspections will be expected
  • Ability to cover multiple asset classes and geographies
  • Ability to maintain professional licenses in multiple states as is required by the team

Licensing Requirements:

  • State certified general appraiser license
  • Maintain state licensing for specific geographic focus and pull temporary practice permits when required
  • Minimum 3 years of holding CG license
  • Sign reports

Management Scope:

  • Assist with recruiting team members
  • Partner with (coach) analyst I's, senior analysts, associates, associate directors, and/or directors to complete assignments
  • Manage up to four individuals

Estimated compensation for this position:

This is a commission-based role with earnings directly tied to performance.

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
