Key Responsibilities

  • Collect business requirements through meetings and analysis of existing documentation.
  • Adherence to the IT architecture roadmap.
  • Understand and provide feedback on technical specification documents.
  • Develop solutions including coding, testing, and deployment for MS Business Central and PowerApps.
  • Work with external vendors.
  • Write and modify technical and user documentation.
  • Train users and IT staff in standard and custom developed functionality.
  • Support the operational processes, e.g. software patches and upgrades, backup and restore, business continuity processes.
  • Support the IT Enterprise Architect in managing external vendors, e.g. communication of technical specifications, quality assurance, and software deployment.
  • Communicate status to IT management.
  • Adherence to all IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Demonstrate proven success in developing complex business systems from collecting requirements from relevant stakeholders, technical specification, development, test and training.
  • 3+ years of experience developing enterprise applications with Microsoft Business Central or Microsoft Navision
  • Experience in database design and AL programming, AL reporting, and interfacing with external systems.
  • Web application development experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Power BI).
  • Experience with core business processes such as Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, and Financial Reporting.
  • Experience in development of interfaces between enterprise applications.
  • Previous ERP implementation experience using Microsoft Business Central or Navision.
  • Knowledge of best practices, principles and procedures related to MS Business Central.
  • Ability to understand, communicate on all levels in an organization, interpret client business processes and requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands.
