Job Summary:
Keysight Technologies is a leader in technology innovation, specializing in electronic design and test solutions. The Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management will lead the strategy and portfolio management for the radio frequency test and measurement business, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and guiding investment across product lines.
Responsibilities:
• Set a multi‑year strategy for the radio frequency portfolio that aligns with corporate goals and market realities.
• Own portfolio choices across the three product lines, including platform strategy, modular architectures, software, and services.
• Build market maps and customer segmentation; size opportunities; develop scenarios and investment plans.
• Establish a system for competitive and technology intelligence and convert insights into action.
• Drive annual and quarterly portfolio reviews.
• Represent the portfolio in executive and board reviews with concise narratives grounded in data.
• Lead a high‑performing global team of product managers, strategy analysts, and program leaders; hire, coach, and develop talent.
• Engage directly with strategic customers, standards groups, and partners to inform roadmaps and secure design wins.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, from target scans through diligence and integration planning.
• Track performance through clear key performance indicators, including revenue growth, gross margin, product vitality dashboards.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Fifteen or more years in radio frequency test and measurement or adjacent sectors such as wireless systems, semiconductor test, or aerospace and defense communications.
• Ten or more years in product management, portfolio strategy, or general management.
• Proven record of launching and scaling instruments and associated software.
• Direct experience shaping platform and module strategies that balance reuse, differentiation, and cost.
• Demonstrated success turning market and customer insight into prioritized roadmaps and commercial results.
• Global experience working across regions and cultures.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field required.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen, including market analysis, opportunity sizing, and investment allocation.
• Executive‑level communication, including clear written narratives, compelling presentations, and confident delivery in high‑stakes forums.
• Analytical rigor, financial fluency, and proficiency with modeling for pricing, margin, and unit economics.
• Technical depth in radio frequency measurement and instrumentation sufficient to challenge assumptions and make sound trade‑offs.
• Customer orientation and the ability to translate use cases into precise requirements.
• Leadership that sets direction, builds followership, and drives accountability in a matrix environment.
• Program leadership across hardware, firmware, software, and applications, with disciplined risk management.
• Operational discipline, including stage‑gate governance, metrics, and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics preferred.
• Master of Business Administration is a plus.
