Job SummaryThis position is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and improving organizational performance through data-driven analysis and strategic insight generation critical to enterprise leadership decision-making.
The Senior Manager partners across Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Network Management, Healthcare Management, Underwriting, Product, and other business functions to identify performance trends, financial opportunities, operational risks, and emerging business issues. The position is responsible for transforming complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that support executive decision-making and drive enterprise performance improvement. Through rigorous analysis, root cause investigation, performance monitoring, and executive reporting, this role helps leadership understand what is driving business results, where intervention is needed, and how strategic initiatives are impacting organizational outcomes.
This role develops and delivers enterprise performance reporting, dashboards and strategic analyses that are reviewed by senior leaders and executive leadership, including members of the C-suite, to inform priorities, monitor performance against strategic objectives, and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational results.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics, or related fields. Other Bachelor Degrees may be considered.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, financial analysis, financial consulting or insurance industry economics including 4 years' experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data.
  • Advanced PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar. Proficiency in designing reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to prepare effective documentation, facilitate training and development, and participate in presentations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within all levels of the organization, leading projects and in problem resolution.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining and leveraging collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and business leaders, to accept recommendations, cooperate or change their behavior, facilitating the accomplishment of business goals.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
  • Extensive Health insurance industry experience with high awareness and financial acumen regarding industry trends and competitive challenges that have broad business impact.
  • Tableau, PowerPoint or similar.
  • Six Sigma certification

This position is expected to adhere to HCSC's hybrid FLEX policy of 3 days in office and 2 days WFH weekly.
