Job description

Logistics Analyst Jr. - UAS (Part-Time)
Remote | U.S. Citizenship Required | Security Clearance Eligibility Required | Part-Time

Why This Role Exists
The work we do has real impact, and the people behind it matter just as much.

D amp;G is seeking Logistics Analyst Jr. - UAS (Part-Time) to support the project by collecting, organizing, and analyzing logistics and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) data used to assess autonomous cargo operations in congested and contested environments. Working under the direction of senior analysts and subject-matter experts, this role helps document operational scenarios, validate data and assumptions, evaluate model outputs, and translate findings into clear decision-support products. The analyst brings a working knowledge of UAS operations and logistics processes to ensure analyses reflect realistic cargo, range, payload, infrastructure, support-equipment, and employment constraints.

What You Will Do

  • Support translation of mission questions into defined data needs, analytical use cases, and evaluation criteria.
  • Research and document UAS cargo concepts of operation, mission profiles, operational workflows, and planning assumptions.
  • Help develop realistic UAS cargo scenarios considering payload, range, endurance, basing, launch and recovery, weather, airspace, communications, maintenance, and support equipment.
  • Collect, organize, clean, and document UAS, cargo, mobility, infrastructure, operational-energy, and common support equipment data.
  • Perform data-quality checks, maintain source traceability, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and coordinate questions with senior analysts and SMEs.
  • Prepare inputs and assist with scenario development, parametric sweeps, sensitivity analysis, stress testing, and comparison of alternative logistics concepts.
  • Review model inputs and outputs for reasonableness against UAS performance limits, logistics processes, and documented operational assumptions.
  • Summarize the effects of UAS cargo alternatives on airlift demand, delivery timelines, fuel consumption, personnel, infrastructure, support equipment, and mission a
  • Develop clear tables, charts, data summaries, and briefing content, and contribute to reports, visualizations, model documentation, and final deliverables.
  • Participate in project working sessions, stakeholder engagements, data reviews, and technical discussions; capture decisions and action items.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Aviation, Engineering or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in logistics analysis, UAS operations, mobility, or qualifying internships.
  • Working knowledge of UAS capabilities and constraints, including payload, range, endurance, launch and recovery, communications, airspace, weather, maintenance, and ground-support requirements.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and documenting quantitative and qualitative data using Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, performance specifications, concepts of operation, planning factors, and operational process information.
  • Ability to identify data gaps, test assumptions, recognize anomalous results, and communicate questions or concerns to senior team members.
  • Strong writing, briefing, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a remote, part-time environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with appropriate guidance and quality review.

Preferred

  • Experience with cargo UAS, autonomous logistics, advanced air mobility, airlift planning, contested logistics, or common support equipment.
  • Experience supporting a Federal Government or Department of Defense study, test, experimentation, requirements, acquisition, or operational-analysis effort.

Location

  • Remote
  • 10% Travel to client site in Washington, D.C. as needed

Clearance and Eligibility

  • Able to attain and maintain a security clearance
  • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
