POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Senior Training Specialist will specialize as an Oracle Trainer and will promote efficiency and operational effectiveness by leading the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of learning solutions that support Oracle system adoption across the organization (Oracle Fusion Cloud - Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, Oracle Financials, Oracle Procurement / Supply Chain SCM). The primary focus for this position is to support employees, managers, and key business stakeholders through system-related training initiatives that improve end-user proficiency, process consistency, and business readiness. This position partners closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, system owners, and project teams to identify training needs, assess performance gaps, and translate business requirements into practical, scalable learning solutions. The ideal candidate is open-minded, creative, highly collaborative, an outstanding listener, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

This role is considered a Senior Professional (P3) who applies advanced knowledge of instructional design, facilitation, system training, and workforce development practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports; however, the role is expected to influence stakeholders, guide subject matter experts, and model learning best practices across supported teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instructional Design
    • Partner with managers, system owners, and subject matter experts to identify Oracle training needs and schedule instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and on-the-job training solutions.
    • Conduct training needs analyses and performance gap assessments to recommend effective, scalable learning solutions that support Oracle system adoption and business process execution.
    • Design effective training programs using industry models (ex: ADDIE, SAM model).
    • Design training solutions that address multiple learning levels and styles across the company, including new hires, end users, managers, and super users.
  • Development Production
    • Prepare training materials such as facilitator guides, participant materials, process maps, quick reference guides, simulations, videos, job aids, and reinforcement tools.
    • Partner with Learning Experience Design Team to get eLearning modules developed for Oracle-related processes and system updates.
    • Design and develop Instructor Led Training classes (ILT), blended learning solutions, and role-based learning paths for Oracle users.
    • Review, update, and standardize Oracle training content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance with current business processes and system functionality.
  • Implementation and Delivery
    • Coordinate logistics for training delivery sessions (ex: rooms, materials, technology, learner audience, etc.).
    • Conduct seminars, workshops, onboarding, and individual or group training sessions focused on Oracle system processes, navigation, and role-based workflows.
    • Facilitate user readiness activities in support of new implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and process changes.
    • Support and mentor employees and provide guidance to facilitators or subject matter experts as needed.
    • Keep attendance and other records to ensure accurate documentation of supported programs.
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement
    • Design tracking processes for all supported programs.
    • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement and assess learner engagement, system understanding, and training effectiveness.
    • Monitor employee performance and response to training, including common user issues and recurring process challenges.
    • Analyze feedback, adoption trends, and performance data to improve content, delivery, and business impact.
  • Interpersonal & Problem Solving
    • Works independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities.
    • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, practices, and system-related process requirements.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills to influence others, build trust, and support change adoption during system rollouts and process updates.
    • Problems faced are difficult and may require evaluation of multiple options to determine the best course of action.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a corporate trainer, systems trainer, Oracle trainer, or learning and development professional.
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies, adult learning principles, and training tools.
  • Experience designing and delivering training for Oracle systems, enterprise applications, or related business process workflows.
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching, workforce development, and system training.
  • Ability to translate technical or process-based information into practical, user-friendly learning materials.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) and eLearning development software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Self-directed, motivated individual contributor willing to learn new skills when necessary.
  • Must be engaging and demonstrate strong professional presence.
  • Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team.
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish [preferred] or English/Haitian Creole).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 7+ years' experience in corporate training, systems training, learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Oracle training initiatives, enterprise system rollouts, or end-user adoption programs is strongly preferred.
  • BS/BA in business, HR, education, organizational development, information systems, or relevant field or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Certification (e.g., CPTD, ATD, CPLP, or similar) is a plus.
