In this role, you will develop, troubleshoot, and support enterprise-scale Oracle database applications while ensuring the performance, reliability, and availability of critical production database environments.

Working alongside software developers, database administrators, infrastructure engineers, and application owners, you will provide hands-on SQL and PL/SQL development, production troubleshooting, data integration support, and database optimization. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise Oracle database applications supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Debug and resolve complex SQL, PL/SQL, data, and production-processing issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Review, rewrite, refactor, and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and database objects.
  • Develop ad hoc SQL queries and operational scripts to support investigations, reporting, reconciliation, data validation, issue resolution, and production support activities.
  • Maintain and support enterprise data feeds, batch processing, ETL workflows, and system integrations involving Oracle databases, Apache NiFi, AWS services, APIs, and file-based interfaces.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data flow and integration issues across Oracle databases, PL/SQL processes, integration services, and dependent applications.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies between source and target systems.
  • Tune SQL and PL/SQL workloads by analyzing execution plans, optimizer statistics, indexing strategies, partitioning, query optimization, concurrency, locking, and database performance.
  • Support application releases, database deployments, production incidents, and post-deployment validation activities.
  • Collaborate with Oracle Database Administrators to support Oracle RAC, RMAN backup and recovery, Oracle Data Guard, database security, monitoring, and production environment stability.
  • Participate in database application design, schema development, data modeling, and database object management to support scalable, reliable database solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, operational runbooks, and support documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience developing and supporting enterprise Oracle database solutions.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, dynamic SQL, collections, bulk processing, exception handling, and database APIs.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL code across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Experience analyzing existing database code, identifying defects, optimizing scripts, and supporting operational database processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data feeds, system integrations, ETL workflows, and production database environments.
  • Experience tuning SQL and PL/SQL workloads using execution plans, optimizer statistics, indexing, partitioning, query optimization, and related Oracle performance techniques.
  • Experience using Oracle diagnostic and performance tools such as AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Trace, TKPROF, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle database administration, including Oracle RAC, RMAN backup and recovery, Oracle Data Guard, database security, tablespaces, storage, sessions, locks, and database object management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple production priorities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience with Oracle Database Vault.
  • Experience with Oracle Label Security.
  • Experience supporting large-scale database migration initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Apache NiFi data flows and integration endpoints.
  • Experience working with AWS services, APIs, and service-based integrations.
  • Experience supporting high-volume batch processing, data conversion, data migration, and data reconciliation activities.
