Job description

Job Title: Senior Regulatory Compliance & Chemical Data Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance & Chemical Data Analyst to lead the technical management of our global product stewardship and hazard communication programs. This role is a unique hybrid of regulatory expertise and data engineering. You will be responsible for ensuring our product documentation remains compliant with evolving global standards while simultaneously building the database logic and automation scripts required to manage high-volume chemical data.
If you are a regulatory professional who loves "building" as much as "complying," this role offers the opportunity to drive technical initiatives that integrate regulatory requirements directly into our enterprise data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Hazard Communication
โ€ข Documentation Lifecycle: Develop, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels, ensuring total compliance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and regional requirements.
โ€ข Hazard Assessment: Perform complex hazard classifications for substances and mixtures. Ensure that all downstream communications accurately reflect chemical risks and handling protocols.
โ€ข Global Logistics: Serve as the technical expert for Dangerous Goods (DG) transportation, ensuring compliant classification and documentation for air, sea, and road transport (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG).
Data Analytics & Systems Management
โ€ข Data Engineering: Develop and execute SQL scripts to extract, transform, and analyze complex chemical data from enterprise databases.
โ€ข Systems Optimization: Partner with IT and database administrators to optimize data structures, implement data quality controls, and automate regulatory reporting workflows.
โ€ข Strategic Integration: Lead the technical implementation of regulatory data into new product/technology initiatives. Ensure that branding and legal entity changes are seamlessly integrated into existing regulatory documentation and Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs).
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
โ€ข Experience Baseline: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a technical regulatory or product stewardship role within a corporate or consulting environment.
โ€ข Regulatory Mastery: Deep expertise in GHS, SDS authoring, and Global Dangerous Goods regulations.
โ€ข Data Proficiency: Strong capability with SQL (or similar database querying languages). Experience using enterprise regulatory compliance software (e.g., SDS authoring tools).
Preferred Attributes
โ€ข Results-Oriented: Proven ability to manage high-volume regulatory projects independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
โ€ข Cross-Functional Partner: Experience collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to validate chemical composition data and supply chain compliance.
โ€ข Continuous Improvement: A "data-driven" mindset-you don't just fill out forms; you look for ways to optimize the data models that govern our regulatory status.
