Job description

About the Role: We're looking for a Junior Swiss Lathe Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their machining career who wants to grow into a skilled CNC Swiss specialist. You'll work alongside experienced machinists producing high-tolerance components for industrial drive and chain systems, with structured training and a clear path to advancement.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision turned parts
  • Load bar stock, change tooling, and perform basic offsets and adjustments under guidance
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify tolerances
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Document production data and flag quality or tooling issues to senior operators
  • Perform routine machine maintenance such as coolant checks and chip removal

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training in machining is a plus
  • 0–2 years of machining or manufacturing experience (Swiss lathe exposure preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and understand GD&T fundamentals
  • Comfort using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn
