Production Supervisor - Soldermask (Afternoon Shift)

Department: Operations / Manufacturing

Shift: Afternoon Shift

Reports to: Senior Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager

About the Role

This role is responsible for the direct supervision of production employees and the execution of daily manufacturing activities in alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

The Soldermask Supervisor plays a key role in providing front-line leadership, supporting employee development, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established schedules and quality standards.

  • Provide direct leadership to production employees, including work assignment, performance monitoring, coaching, and development.

  • Lead daily shift huddles and work-area meetings to communicate priorities, performance expectations, and safety requirements.

  • Partner with Planning, Scheduling, and Operations leadership to support the execution of manufacturing plans.

  • Support workforce administration including time and attendance, staffing coverage, training coordination, and performance management processes.

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and identifying risks or improvement opportunities.

  • Identify operational issues, take corrective action within scope, and escalate matters as appropriate.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Track, prepare, and communicate operational metrics and reports as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous leadership or lead-hand experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and performance metrics.

  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SPC, and standardized work.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.

  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and manufacturing or enterprise systems.

Education

  • Associate Degree in a Technical or Manufacturing-related field preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience, or 5 years with a relevant associate degree.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Green Belt certification is considered an asset.

$68,044 - $90,726

Please note that due to Controlled Goods Program (CGP)requirements, all applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident in Canada.
