General Summary and Purpose:
Victory Capital Management is hiring a Senior Investment Risk Analyst who will be focused on providing analytical support and creating specialized data for the Centralized Investment Risk Team. This role will be critical to the build-out of advanced analytics to support both Management and the Investment franchises and you will need both solid computer and/or coding skills and a working knowledge of the Asset Management Industry. The Investment Risk Analyst will be a vital member of the Centralized Risk Team, responsible for contributing to the Centralized Investment Risk reporting suite, recommending any enhancements from a technology perspective, and performing
Investment Analysis on all of Victory's strategies and products. You will work with the various Investment Franchises, Victory Management, and other functional areas of Victory by communicating and summarizing Investment Risk reporting/analytics on a regular basis.
You will report to the Head of Investment Risk at Victory Capital Management.
You Will:
  • Lead projects involving reviewing the existing Investment Risk reporting suite, recommending enhancements from a data/coding perspective, as well as from a visualization perspective. Communicating with Management and the Investment Franchises and collecting feedback will also be required.
  • Provide written commentary and summary analysis regarding Performance of all strategies within Victory, with a focus on aggregate Risk metrics, risk exposures, and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor and manage the Risk Reporting architecture, particularly when there are changes. Examples include (but not limited to) Victory on-boards a new franchise, new investment strategy review and set-up, liquidity profiles, account changes, benchmark changes, or new risk model set-up.
  • Contribute and be a vital collaborator when Special Projects are launched. These typically require Investment Risk Research, data collection and analysis, and written summary conclusions.
  • Build relationships with all Investment Franchises, Victory Management, as well as functional areas of Victory (Compliance, IT, Marketing, Performance Measurement, Product Management).

You Have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent is preferred.
  • 10 years relevant experience
  • Familiarity with investment tools such as Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar Direct, or MSCI.
  • General understanding of the Asset Management Industry, with a focus on strategies (equity, bond, Multi-Asset) and vehicles (ETFs, Mutual Fund, Institutional Accounts, UCITs).
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio Accounting, Asset Class configuration, fund or middle office operations is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn coding (Python, R, VBA), with a focus on using APIs and data frames (Pandas) to analyze Investment research or equivalent statistics.
  • Experience with Tableau or PowerBI, particularly building and maintaining dashboards and other types of visualizations.
  • Experience with risk or liquidity analytic tools: Axioma, Barra, Bloomberg (including LQAP), MSCI RiskManager, Northfield, or bespoke is a plus.
  • A willingness to expand skill set and continuously learn. Examples include (but not limited to): MBA, CFA, advanced coding designations, or security licenses.

Target Compensation:
San Antonio, TX: The target base salary range for this position is $83,401 - $ 98,107.
Boston, MA: The target base salary range for this position is $103,475 - $121,735.
Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications. Victory Capital Management operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
Victory Capital Management's total compensation package includes the opportunity for annual compensation bonuses and/or commissions and a generous benefits package.
