Job description

Role:
The Senior UI Developer's primary responsibility is to implement and ship beautiful user interfaces that bring a modern touch to our platforms.
The role requires integrating with legacy application code, maintaining and modernizing existing features and tools, and contributing to the development of platform style guides and user interface standards.
As a liaison to several different groups - from designers and developers to project management and stakeholders - effective communication is important to the success of the role. As a senior position, being heavily involved in pushing design capabilities and improving user experience while mentoring and coaching less experienced team members is expected.
Responsibilities:
  • Build web applications as part of a team
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for other developers
  • Lead the implementation of internal- and customer-facing front-end interfaces
  • Participate in design meetings and prototype solutions
  • Develop a strategy and catalog of modular user interface components
  • Advise architectural and system design decisions
  • Effectively communicate technical and practical design considerations or limitation throughout the design process
  • Implement unit tests and improve code coverage as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills And Qualifications:
Required
  • 6+ years of production-ready software development experience
  • 4+ years of production experience shipping applications with modern front-end frameworks. React preferred, but others like Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Ability to innovate and creatively implement solutions to uncommon challenges
  • A keen eye for design, including experience implementing attractive user interfaces
  • Highly proficient with version control via git

Preferred
  • Production experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with or knowledge of server-side rendered front-end applications
  • Familiarity with PHP and MySQL
  • Knowledge of accessible UX best practices

Compensation:
Compensation Range: $110,000-$120,000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
