Senior Mechanical / Electrical Engineer โ€“ Mission Critical Projects

Multiple U.S. Locations: Atlanta, GA Dallas, TX Denver, CO Chicago, IL Orlando, FL New York, NY
Compensation: $125,000 โ€“ $156,000 base + bonus + full benefits

Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a national design-build construction leader to identify Senior Mechanical / Electrical Engineers for its growing Mission Critical engineering team.

This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy working on complex infrastructure environments where reliability, system performance, and precision execution are critical to project success.

The role supports the delivery of large-scale commercial and mission-critical facilities, collaborating closely with project teams from preconstruction through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior M/E Engineer will support the successful delivery of complex building systems by:

-Developing mechanical and electrical cost estimates based on program and schematic design information
-Performing systems analysis and value engineering to determine optimal building system solutions
-Coordinating mechanical and electrical scopes of work throughout the bidding and subcontractor selection process
-Supporting project sequencing and scheduling requirements for complex building systems
-Reviewing design documents and shop drawings to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with specifications
-Performing field inspections and quality reviews throughout project execution
-Leading commissioning preparation, including development of pre-functional checklists and testing procedures
-Verifying completion of functional testing and commissioning documentation prior to project handoff
-Supporting equipment procurement and subcontractor coordination
-Building strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
-Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of M/E processes

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will bring a combination of technical expertise and construction project delivery experience.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline

Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documents
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

7โ€“10+ years of construction or engineering experience supporting complex building systems
Experience with mission critical, large commercial, or complex infrastructure projects
Proficiency with BIM and construction technology tools
Experience with commissioning processes and constructability reviews
Experience supporting project budgeting, estimates, or GMP/hard bid processes
