Collins Aerospace is a seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite in Largo, FL. The onsite Manufacturing Engineer 's (ME) primary role is to support the technical performance of multiple depot and production programs at the Largo Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC). The ME will develop and manage primary and supplemental manufacturing documentation, processes and work instructions using the digital tools and applications utilized at the CMC.
The ME will provide production support activities on and off the factory floor in support of programs that may range from initial factory introduction through sustaining activities. The ME will report to the Largo Manufacturing Engineering Manager and interface with design, process and other CMC manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and program management both in Largo and other RTX facilities.
What You Will Do
  • Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program / functional supervision to ensure overall program and site targets are met.
  • Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verification, and safety/ergonomic assessments and implementations.
  • Assist in the develop of work cell layouts to optimize product flow and factory floor space utilization.
  • Plan for, develop, manage, and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
  • Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques. Procedures, and instructions.
  • Collaborates with parties within and outside of the job function regarding policies, Procedures, and practices.
  • Requires knowledge of work area typically obtained through education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Your experience as a Collins Manufacturing Engineer will position you well for organizational advancement along both technical and managerial career paths.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications.
  • Experience with disposition nonconforming material utilizing root cause and corrective action analysis.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with CAD solid modeling tools.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data.
  • Experience with various automation systems.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
  • Qualified Collins CORE Specialist or equivalent.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
