Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Oldsmar, FL
Salary: $105,000–$115,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description
We're hiring an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a leading medical device manufacturing company in Oldsmar. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with a strong background in process improvement, manufacturing optimization, and new product introduction within a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you'll lead manufacturing engineering projects, improve production processes, support new product launches, mentor engineering staff, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams. If you're passionate about Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving, and developing innovative manufacturing solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes
• Reduce production costs, scrap, and cycle times
• Provide hands-on production floor support
• Lead new product introductions (NPI)
• Develop manufacturing processes and work instructions
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment
• Create and maintain SOPs and manufacturing documentation
• Support equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
• Perform root cause analysis and process improvements
• Mentor engineers and technicians
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers
• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
• Support continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• 7–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Experience in medical device, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo
• Strong knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience
• ERP and MES system experience (SAP preferred)
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed
