Sr. manufacturing engineer

Xylem Services USA LLC.'sMorton Grove, IL office seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, administer capital investments, and implement efficient systems that improve productivity, quality, and safety.Duties include: (i) analyzingand interpretingengineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare routings outlining optimal manufacturing instructions, procedures, tooling, and standard costs; (ii) performingcost estimates in coordination with purchasing and suppliers, accounting for component, material, and process lead times; (iii) creatingandmaintainingstandard cost data files, WeldingWPS/PQR files, ISO documentation, and other facility records; (iv) developingand maintainingstandard operating procedures (SOPs), including the use of Vuforia AR software for visualinstructions; (v) supportingthe implementation of new technologies including vision systems like Artemis and AI tools such as Leela AI; (vi) maintainingfacility and work cell layout drawings inAutoCAD, incorporating pallet racking, wire decking, and guarding per safety and weight capacity requirements; (vii) optimizingCNC program using Creo andVericutsimulation software; and (viii) preparingcapital and expense proposals, cost analysis, equipment specifications, appropriation requests, and plant layout modifications aligned with business objectives and VBLSSprojects.

Must have a bachelor's degree(or foreign equivalent degree)in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field,plusfour (4) years of related work experienceas a Manufacturing Engineer or a related occupation.

Must have four (4) years of experience with/in:(i) manufacturing environments involving machining (CNC programming and Simulation), assembly, welding, lean manufacturing, detail knowledge of lean tools (Standard work, SingleMinute Exchange of Dies, and Operator Balance Chart),automation, and 3D printing;(ii) developing testing equipment, testing fixtures and reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagram;(iii) rotating equipment, pump hydraulics, mechanics, and performance testing;(iv) training engineers and operators in technical and software domains;(v) lean methodologies implementation, Six Sigma, and 5S practices;(vi)3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and CREO, and 2D/3D layout tools such as AutoCAD;(vii)PLC logic, CNC programming, and manufacturing software; and(viii)Warehousing and shipping modules in LN Infor.

Experience can be concurrent.

Up to 20%regionaland domestic travelrequired.
