Job description

A Tax Senior Manager with PYA is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for a diverse client base. The Tax Senior Manager leads and mentors tax teams, reviews complex tax returns, manages client relationships, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The Tax Senior Manager would be expected to use their experience to advise clients and develop a true trusted advisor relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Here are some additional expectations of our PYA Tax Senior Manager leadership position:
    • Lead clients and teams with a demonstrated excellence in project management and relationship development
    • Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, resulting in the successful completion of tax planning, advisory, accounting, and compliance projects, all while maintaining focus on client service excellence
    • Develop a team of tax consultants and other subject matter experts to ensure exceptional client service to PYA tax clients
    • Cultivate existing business client relationships and advance opportunities with new prospect leads

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of tax experience within a public accounting and/or consulting firm, or equivalent experience in industry tax leadership
  • CPA, EA license, or another recognized certification is required
  • Client-oriented work ethic, committed to high-quality results
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills and a passion for helping client
