At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all J&J buildings around the world providing end to end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Project Management to Facilities Management. We have a profound influence on the entire J&J Enterprise, providing innovative workplaces where our employees can collaborate and grow, and delivering flexible site solutions which enable our business to best serve our important customers and patients.

The Senior Manager, Project Management plays a vital role within the Vision Company's Jacksonville site, responsible for leading a site-specific portfolio of capital, infrastructure, and compliance-driven projects that support local business operations. This position leads planning, execution, and delivery to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality, regulatory, and site operational requirements.

The Senior Manager will lead all aspects of large-scale capital design and construction projects for the Vision Company in Jacksonville, providing direct site leadership and coordination across engineering, operations, quality, EHS, finance, procurement, facilities, and external partners. This includes defining project scope, developing schedules, securing resources, managing site stakeholder alignment, and ensuring project execution supports the needs of the local manufacturing and business environment.

Given the site-specific focus of this role, the Senior Manager will apply technical expertise, project management discipline, and local operational knowledge to identify risks, resolve issues, and develop practical mitigation plans. The role requires strong ownership of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety, and business continuity for the Jacksonville Vision site, ensuring successful project outcomes that directly support local priorities and long-term site performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate project execution for the Jacksonville Vision site following IDEA and FPX, ensuring all deliverables align with site safety, cost, schedule, quality, compliance, and operational benchmarks.
  • Apply the project execution plan methodology to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that may impact local manufacturing operations, business continuity, or site readiness.
  • Facilitate comprehensive project planning, tracking, and reporting against FPOs to ensure successful delivery of the site portfolio and related programs.
  • Manage site customer interactions, contractor relationships, vendor performance, and communications to ensure stakeholder alignment and accountability.
  • Lead all aspects of the Jacksonville Vision project portfolio, ensuring delivery in accordance with local site priorities, regulatory expectations, and organizational benchmarks.
  • Supervise or support other project leads, stepping into the role of Senior Project Lead when required to ensure consistency, escalation discipline, and excellence in project delivery.
  • Drive the application of standard processes and continuous improvement in project management practices within the site portfolio.
  • Demonstrate proactive leadership by managing project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and fostering collaboration among site functions and regional partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned site projects, ensuring seamless integration of technical, financial, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Provide strategic yet hands-on leadership with strong risk management, clear stakeholder communication, and a focus on delivering Jacksonville Vision projects safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
Education & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management from an accredited institution required
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • 10 years or more of proven experience in Engineering, Project Management, or Manufacturing, with a focus on operational excellence and team leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects or programs within a regulated manufacturing environment, including planning, execution, and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes in FDA-regulated environments, including design, startup, and operational phases.
  • Consistent track record to lead cross-functional teams, coordinate efforts across different departments, and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Experience with financial management related to project or operational budgets, resource planning, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Front-End Loading Best Practices.

Other:

  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • LEED AP certification is preferred.
  • This position will require up to 10% domestic travel.
