The Royal Caribbean Group's IT Shipboard Newbuilt Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Program , Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, It Product Construction
The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.
The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.
PositionSummary:
IT Program Manager, IT Product Construction, Shipboard position oversees all projects under their delivery program ensuring they are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and
budgetwhilemeetingallbrand guidelines and KPIs. The role liaises with IT Product Teams, Marine, New building, Refurbishment and other Brand operating department representatives involved in the execution of dry dock/modernization scope including but not limited to: Operations, Design, Procurement, Brand Product Development, and external vendors and partners.
Role will partner with key stakeholders to manage scope expectations. Champion the IT product capability/scope for dry dock/Modernization projects and work diligently with other execution and product development partners to deliver world class products.
Effectively communicate with executive stakeholders and partners of various levels across the broader organization through various mediums (i.e.. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings).
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of all scope within their program.
  • Collaborates with matrixed constituent department representatives and vendors to outline milestones, establish work plans, responsibilities, scope, and tracking routines.
  • Follow-up on team members to meet project/program deadlines and provide input on team member activities for schedule review process. Manages vendors, ensuring they meet our time, budget, safety, and brand guidelines.
  • Review overall requirements and align with teams on execution priorities and planning.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to give updates and status on assigned applications and highlight risks that may arise and determine mitigation actions.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure projects progress on schedule; accurately reflects current program health and status through regular updates of tasks and statuses.
  • Communicate program status on a regular basis to team and stakeholders. Establishing goals and analyses program work process.
  • Tracks timing, budget, cost control, and reporting. Proactively and accurately manage projects/program financials to meet department planning, forecasting, and reporting deadlines
  • Utilizes program management tools and techniques to develop and maintain project scope; manages customer expectations and maintains focus.

  • Maintain plans at appropriate level of detail to provide Resource Managers visibility to staffing needs by skill set. Proactive engage Resource Managers in securing resources for project work, and communicate any changes in demand throughout program.
  • Ensure proper and timely communication to all external and internal stakeholders (status reports, steering committee, resource managers, etc).
  • Leads, mentors, influences and supports Project Managers on complexity of projects and assignments. Enforce project management policies, guidelines, metrics and templates. Looks for ways to streamline project management processes and tools, and increase efficiency and success rate of project management team.
  • Tracks and reports project or program status, ensuring that risks are reviewed and mitigated, issues are escalated and resolved and changes are documented and approved.
  • Collaborates with internal and external constituents, including suppliers, to meet common goals and resolve conflicting issues.
  • Qualifications and Education
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience working in the infrastructure program management. Experience with technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced hospitality organization.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions that ensure projects/program are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • 8+ years of Program Management preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
  • Experience with technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced online organization.
  • Experience working with project execution teams creating key requirement documentations and project artifacts.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate and influence at an executive level.
  • Possesses analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project deliverables.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve results through others, plus the ability to build strong and balanced relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working with international teams and in construction sites.
  • Effectively provide overall leadership across multiple teams, while working collaboratively to delivery with quality on time.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in IT project management. Experience in executing heavy IT infrastructure projects in a construction environment.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
