JOB SUMMARY

The Learning & Organizational Development Specialist will focus on organizational culture transformation and change management, supporting organization effectiveness employee learning, and change adoption for a broad range of clients across the organization to support their goals and objectives. The primary focus is leading the organizational development, and change management initiatives that align with strategic priorities, Corporate values, and the needs of diverse stakeholders.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Apply recognized change management methodologies and tools to help employees, leaders, and teams understand, prepare for, adopt, and sustain changes to programs, services, processes, systems, structures, and ways of working.
  • Lead and support change management activities for corporate, departmental, and cross-functional initiatives, including change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness planning, communications, training, adoption support, and reinforcement strategies.
  • Develop and implement learning and organizational development strategies that support corporate priorities, workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, service excellence, employee engagement, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and facilitate consultations, focus groups, workshops, team sessions, and learning events with diverse employee groups to gather input, build understanding, support behaviour change, and strengthen organizational alignment.
  • Translate assessment findings into actionable recommendations, implementation plans, learning solutions, and change interventions that are practical, measurable, and aligned with public sector accountability and governance expectations.
  • Develop change communication content in collaboration with Communications and project teams, including key messages, FAQs, briefing materials, leader talking points, intranet content, presentations, and employee updates.
  • Additional learning & organizational development functions as needed including eLearning creation, content development, facilitation/delivery and more.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Post-secondary degree in a field related to Change Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources and/or or 5-7 plus years’ equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
  • Excellent knowledge of change management and organizational design practices.
  • Experience supporting corporate wide transformation initiatives including consulting, developing, managing, and advising with clients and senior management.
  • Knowledge delivering and developing leadership programs executing a variety of related frameworks to different levels within an organizational.
  • Strong knowledge of HR function, including initiatives which impact Human Resources management.
  • Demonstrated development and facilitation skills to employees at all levels with specific experience in leadership development including emerging leaders
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing, planning, delivering and evaluating organizational development interventions.
  • High level of organizational awareness skill including political and business acumen ensuring a comprehensive understanding of induvial and group dynamics.
  • Strong influencing and motivational skills to deal with participants who require additional support as well as delivering recommendations to the executive table.
  • Experience managing and partnering with relevant vendors
