Position Overview:

The Senior Manager Organizational Performance and Training is expected to provide support to the training department for team member training, leadership development and operator certifications. In addition, the position will verify that compliance training is completed at all locations.

The qualified individual should have significant previous experience of working with learning and training programs, and should be highly capable of developing and delivering training that is required at the company’s locations, as well as providing advice and support in relation to external vendors. In addition, the individual should have good organizational skills, and should have the ability to ensure that the mandatory training is completed and recorded appropriately, thereby protecting the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Training Departments at the company’s plants.
  • Develop training required by the plants and company.
  • Conduct front-line training at plants as required.
  • Evaluate training completed.
  • Maintain all necessary records.
  • Provide support to training vendors at plant locations.
  • Support plants in applying for and using training grants.
  • Provide expertise on training matters as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Business, Education, Leadership or a related field is required.
  • Preferred Experience: Seven or more years of experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Training including significant experience in talent development.  

 Competencies and Skills:

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong training development and delivery skills.
  • Understanding of the business operations and production processes.
  • Ability to create and maintain training matrices and training documents.
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to be agile and flexible in learning new systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Good collaborative abilities, and the ability to work well across all departments and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to engage well with a diverse set of constituents.
  • Ability to strategize and make well-informed decisions.

Physical Demands:

  • Travel >30%.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 30 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
