Job Description
Senior Manager, Data Science, AbbVie Inc., North Chicago, IL (Hybrid (onsite 3 days a week/ 2 days WFH)).
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver biomarker analysis expertise for clinical studies.
  • Ensure accurate extraction of relevant clinical & biomarker data from diverse databases & enable advanced visualization with descriptive statistical analysis.
  • By revealing patterns within the data, empower scientists to make informed, real-time decisions during clinical development.
  • Develop R & Python programs for extracting ADaM datasets, & generating tables, listings, & figures.
  • Develop advanced visualizations in Spotfire to reveal data patterns.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Must have MS in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or a related field & 1 year as a data scientist leading data science analysis & advanced visualization.
Of experience required, must have 1 year:
  1. applying R & Python programming concepts & techniques related to drug development;
  2. exploring & visualizing ADaM datasets in Spotfire;
  3. providing data science analysis support for Phase I, II, & III clinical trials;
  4. generating visualization & descriptive statistics with clinical outputs (tables, listings, & figures) with R & Python &
  5. collaborating with scientists to interpret visualizations & statistical findings, leveraging their expertise in biology & clinical trial domains to effectively guide decisions in clinical development.

Work experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary Range: $142,347.40 - $208,500.00 per year.
