Salary range (but not limited to):

149,600 - 182,800

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for a manager to join the Intact Lab - Data Science team in the AI in Operations family!

This role particularly aims at supporting the development and deployment of AI models for our Personal Lines operations across the different provinces.

What you'll do here:

  • Help build the industry's best data science team by keeping our specialists motivated and engaged in a fast-paced, agile environment and helping them grow their careers.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team in developing and deploying and applying AI models, including genAI.
  • Collaborate with partners across the company to develop our AI vision, identify and prioritize use cases and implement solutions.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in an analytical and innovative environment, including at least two (2) years in management or coaching.
  • Data science enthusiasts with a background in a related field, including (but not limited to): machine learning, computer science, software engineering, physics, actuarial science, mathematics or statistics.
  • Understanding of underlying Machine Learning theory and the Predictive Modeling Lifecycle.
  • Previous experience in insurance or finance is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, influencing, and work organization skills.
  • Live and demonstrate leadership success factors within Intact.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
