Join Team MoVal's Parks and Community Services Division as a Senior Management Analyst. Status: Full-Time, Exempt Schedule: Flexible schedule; Placement on a 5/8, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule THE OPPORTUNITY The City of Moreno Valley is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Senior Management Analyst to support the Parks & Community Services Department.

This position serves as a key financial and administrative partner, leading complex budget development and monitoring, grant administration, contract management, financial analysis, and special projects that support departmental operations and strategic initiatives. The incumbent will prepare budget adjustments, journal entries, fund transfers, financial reports, and City Council staff reports while managing grant opportunities from application through award and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance-minded professional who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and helping deliver high-quality parks, recreation, and community programs through sound financial management.

They possess exceptional analytical skills and experience managing complex financial processes, including budget preparation, financial reporting, grant administration, contract management, journal entries, and fund transfers.

This individual is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting critical deadlines. The successful candidate is an effective communicator who builds strong partnerships across departments, exercises sound judgment, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service while supporting the department's financial integrity and long-term success. MINIMUM AND DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor's degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience;AND A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.

Experience in a governmental agency is preferred.
